Summary

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office Of The Assistant Commissioner, Information and Security Services - Chief Information Officer. As a Supervisory Security Specialist (Division Director), you implement and provide direction for all components of the Fiscal Service Emergency Preparedness Programs and Security Programs.

Duties

As a Supervisory Security Specialist(Division Director), you will:

  • Provide leadership to and direct a Divisional unit staffed with emergency preparedness and security professionals in the implementation and maintenance of enterprise emergency and security programs.
  • Set the strategic goals for the Division in accordance with the Bureau's Strategic Plan.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the SPB and EPB branches to ensure compliance with strategic goals.
  • Develop performance plans for subordinate managers and performs managerial administrative functions (WebTA, travel and training approvals, etc.).
  • Prepare briefings or similar presentation materials about the ESPD program for senior management.

Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes experience performing work regarding the development, installation, and management of a security program for a governmental organization, organizational segment, installation, or other company or large non-federal unit.

Examples of such experience for the GS-15 could include:
- Oversight of program-level initiatives, including IT systems development projects involving multiple IT disciplines from design to support; OR
- Experience providing advice, recommendations, and escalation of issues to management and other vested parties on topics surrounding information technology;
OR
- Experience supervising a technical staff of IT Specialists.
OR
- Oversight of an asset protection program safeguarding the property, facilities, personnel, information systems, and other resources.
OR
- Oversight of an emergency preparedness program which includes programs such as COOP planning, emergency preparedness and response, disaster recovery, administration investigations, information safeguarding, etc.
