Job Description:
- You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff.
- You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team. You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues.
- You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
- You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
Describe the role:
- During our intake process, parts are inspected and evaluated and then sent to our on-site laboratory, where they are function tested, and may undergo basic repairs.
- Then, depending on the test results, parts are sent to the highest value recovery path. This could include re-use as a spare part, integration into new equipment, or if there's no internal demand, we may liquidate or recycle them.
- It is a transactional role, but with a focus on quality over quantity.
Must-Have:
- IT Support Experience with computer hardware components.
- Microsoft office experience
- Manufacturing environment
