Mizkan America, Inc. has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist. The Owensboro, Kentucky sauce plant is a high-speed processing and packaging facility which produces sauces for the Ragú and Bertolli pasta sauce brands.
Summary:
This position will report to the Assistant Human Resource Manager and is responsible for day-to-day Human Resource operations and activities supporting local and corporate initiatives. The HR Generalist will function as a first line of contact to over 375 employees at the Owensboro plant and serve as a subject matter expert in areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, HR transactions, Employee Relations issue resolution, systems and processes, benefits, recruiting and leaves of absence. The HR Generalist is responsible for staying current on all federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and regulations. This role will provide support to the Assistant Human Resources Manager and Owensboro leadership team. The successful candidate in this position will be required to work some off shift hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization employees and assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
* Serves employees with a customer service mindset
* Coach and guide employees with their questions, concerns, or issues
* Collaborate with corporate HR and Payroll
* Conduct internal and external recruitment as required
* Assist in wage and compensation analysis
* Act as an HR liaison to managers, supervisors and other members of leadership providing coaching and guidance
* Conduct and assist with internal pulse checks of the workforce
* Assist in coordination of organizational changes within the plant as business needs require
* Provide support for any investigations and provide feedback and follow up where appropriate
* Coordinate filing of discipline, attendance, rewards & recognition and diversity programs and systems
* Collaborate with area vendors to coordinate company events, meals, and activities for employees
* Conduct applicant tracking
* HRIS data entry and audit
* Payroll

Job Requirements:

* Experience with ADP Vantage preferred.
* PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
* Ability to work flexible hours.
* Prior experience in production or manufacturing with exposure to large populations and various shifts are preferred.
