Summary: This is a full-time position that requires the Consultant to regularly collaborate with and provide support for clients and team members in order to meet clients’ and organizational needs. This team member will be responsible for a wide spectrum of duties including, but not limited to, development and review of ongoing client deliverables, data collection, financial analytics, carrier and client interfacing, issue resolution and general project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build relationships with key members of client's team
Work proactively on behalf of client, and in collaboration with internal consultants, to create, implement and maintain a comprehensive risk management strategy
Establish creditability as insurance expert
Act as key go-between for client, the senior consultant and the client’s broker
Evaluate exposures that can cause risk for clients
Recommend insurance solutions that meet clients’ needs, protect assets and protect balance sheet
Review coverages and be able to identify gaps or weaknesses in the program
Coordinate activities of the broker and other risk management providers to exceed clients’ expectations
Review proposals and be able to make recommendations
Review RFP’s and bid specifications to ensure thoroughness and comprehensiveness
Be able to review claims, claim reviews and loss triangle
Work with Senior Consultants to:
Create bid specifications
Create RFPs
Review insurance policies and programs and provide written evaluations
Create schedules of insurance, account management timelines and manage deliverables to client
Work with brokers/agents to request critical information, gather information, summarize and present in format that Senior Consultant can use to make recommendations to client
Research industry trends, provide benchmarking, stay abreast of regulatory environment
Manage, track, and communicate project status internally and externally ensuring that projects are meeting deadlines and client teams are aware of issues impacting successful execution
Collaborate with all team members and across the organization on projects as needed with multiple project leads
Build and maintain solid working relationships with client brokers, insurance carriers/vendors and co-workers
Draft client-ready emails, memos, and presentations for review by senior staff
Assist with all aspects of client meeting preparation, including presenting, as required
Coordinate new carrier business, including reviewing paperwork for accuracy and managing towards critical milestones

Work on multiple projects (and teams) at once, prioritizing deliverables based on due dates

Effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and co-workers

Strong technical and financial acumen with ability to analyze and interpret data

Strong knowledge of property & casualty concepts and compliance

Education and/or Experience:
Four-year College or University Degree
10 + years of related experience with an insurance carrier, consultant/broker, or financial institution
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Property & Casualty License required; must be obtained within 90 days of employment
Work towards CPCU, CIC and/or ARM professional designations or additional insurance industry training

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $155,000.
The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
