Job Description:
The Director, Indirect Procurement will be based in Fremont, CA. In this position, you will report to the Director, Procurement.
Director, Indirect Procurement will be working with cross function team which is part of NexTracker Supply Chain Team at large. General responsibilities will include identifying and procuring the goods and services that an organization requires, manage all procurement related activities. A highly motivated, focused and positive attitude is essential to this role as working within renewable energy industry can often be demanding and challenging, with shifting priorities to keep growing at lightning speed.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Process purchase orders; develop bids and proposals; and reconcile any invoice discrepancies.
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Oversee global procurement team that adds value and efficiency to the organization.
- Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization.
- Oversee contract development and administration.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement-related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
- Develop, communicate, and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals.
- Collect, monitor, and publish metrics on team performance.
- Lead and direct team (Buyers)
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic style focused on customer service.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Evidence of successful management of large programs and projects
- Solid understanding of ERP (NetSuite preferred) and how to integrate with other applications.
- Self-directed, highly motivated individual who can effectively manage multiple projects and use time effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field
- Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment
- Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
- 2-3 years of related work experience as a Sr. purchasing manager in Manufacturing Environment, Supply chain or Consulting
