The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated and sincere interest in career development in the area of hearing device management for adult patients. This position offers an opportunity to participate in the clinical education of audiology doctoral students, otolaryngology residents, and fellows, as well as participation and contribution to clinical research activities.

Responsibilities*
- Comprehensive audiological assessment for patients of various ages, with a focus on the adult and geriatric population
- Conventional hearing aid and bone-anchored hearing device evaluation, fitting, verification, and follow-up
- Ability to maintain a busy audiology schedule at various locations; travel to satellite locations is expected with this position
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (Epic) and various audiology-specific software
- Participation in case conferences, grand rounds, journal club, and departmental meetings
Required Qualifications*
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Audiology
- State of Michigan Audiology license (or eligible)
- Able to successfully complete Michigan Medicine provider credentialing
- Clinical experience including diagnostic audiologic testing and hearing aid dispensing
- Intellectual inquisitiveness. Industrious, attentive, and detail-oriented approach Capacity and disposition to learn from colleagues, being led by standardized clinical protocols that ensure consistent, quality experiences for patients. Staff audiologists new to Michigan Medicine are provided a clinical mentor.
- Superior collaborative skills used within a care team that includes audiologists, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and support personnel.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience with digital audiometric software and electronic medical records
- Experience working in a very busy fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience working with technical support staff

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
